Very Special – Nude Ballet with Kat and More!

First of all, thanks to all the photographers that came out and participated in our last event! Special thanks to the new members that came, but had never worked in a studio before. It takes courage to try something you feel is “out of the water” for yourself and you all did great! We cover settings for the studio like, shutter speed for sync, white balance settings, shooting in RAW, proper use of a professional beauty dish. We also worked on posing a model! Both the basic s-pose and some pinup! I think everyone learned and shared allot, not to mention a great deal for their money!

This last event went much smother and everyone had a great time! We will be adding a vacuum to help keep the (HUDGE) black background clean and give the models shoe covers and hand wipes to insure a cleaner background!

This next event will be very special! First of all, we have a model in the GSM team that has some ballet training, so we will be doing a very special segment (or two) on ballet! Both in lingerie and then implied and nudes with this event’s very special featured model Kat! Just to even have a few images like this in your portfolio is an outstanding feat in itself. I have seen shoots like this in CA, but at a cost approaching $1,000 per photographer! Here are some samples of past GSM events from our SoCal location with a nude ballet theme:

* Ballet is obviously strenuous work – Photographers be prepared! If you have your camera set on back button focus, great. If not I suggest knowing how to pre-focus or pre-set your focus as everyone will be limited in the number of shots and if you get them out of focus, you will be out of luck. I will explain pre-focus  before we start so you can practice in segment one.

Cost. This will be the last $40 – $40 event (Photog fee and model tip), as we will be moving to 3 featured models per event from now on as much as possible! After this event we will go to a $40 – $60 cost to insure happy models! I think we can all agree an extra model for only an extra $20 is a great deal! This event we will be introducing (Pre-Pay) through our PayPal links (Pre-Pay Here). Kindly prepay the $40 and bring the other $40 (model tip) to the studio in cash. Arrival time Sunday March 30th, for models is 12:30 to get ready and help set up the studio (studio in the non attached garage and park in the driveway – Do not do any shooting outside of the studio). Photographers 12:45 (come early to help with studio if you would like to!) Get signed up collect funds and start by 1:15! Should end group around 3:45 and start optional 1on1s around 4.
